UNITED LAUNCH ALLIANCE

The Next Chapter

ULA_Logo_edited.jpg

In late winter of 2019, I had a few offers on the table, but ultimately accepted a position as a Propulsion Systems Design Engineer, working on the new Vulcan-Centaur launch vehicle for United Launch Alliance in Denver, where I currently work today.

Vulcan

Starting in April 2019, I became the designer and project manager of the Vulcan disconnects. The disconnects provide different commodities to the various propulsion systems on the boost stage prior to launch all the way up through ignition of the main engine BE-4s, made by Blue Origin.

The first launch of Vulcan-Centaur is scheduled for mid-2022. Stay tuned!

Centaur V

In the summer of 2020, I began working as the lead engineer for integration of the new RL10CX engine. Designed by Aerojet Rocketdyne, I am currently overseeing development and qualification of the engine, which will be part of the propulsion system upgrades on the new Centaur V upper stage, scheduled to launch sometime in 2024.
